FONDAZZJONI TEMI ZAMMIT
A Local Strategic Partnership for Maltese Regional Development and the Knowledge Society

FTZ  aims to improve the quality of life and economic prosperity in the Maltese region, and create new opportunities for everyone through the following key objectives:

  • Organise and drive the development of initiatives and projects related to economic regeneration, investment, skills development, urban renaissance, rural/physical development, employment, productivity, investment and innovation.

  • Undertake sustainable initiatives in order to impact on existing and future economic development based on greater participation of target groups.

  • Create a network which constitutes a Maltese "think tank" regarding the issues of diversity, integration, regional growth, learning, social and economic regeneration.

  • Promote joint working and thinking between local authorities and other key agencies, in particular local NGOs.

  • Represent the views and needs of local stakeholders within EU and EC groupings and networks.

  • Promote the principles of partnerships that can work at a local and international level;

  • Promote the sharing of best practice in the development and delivery of local area strategies and that facilitate the exchange of experience and practice between such areas.

  • Raise funds for the attainment of any of the above.
