Project
Summary:
The
main activities link to the general objectives of PROGRESS by
improving
knowledge / understanding, promoting networking / mutual learning,
raising awareness
of the role of Europe and build the capacity of partners to promote,
support and further
develop EU policies / objectives.
•
We will hold two conferences / study visits, develop a website
and "How to Guide's." Each will raise expertise through
learning from each other, with specific emphasis on experience
transfer from old to new Member states.
•
The project will build activity around particular themes which
will enable partners to share expertise and knowledge. The themes
will include the skills base, employment of migrant workers, use
of funding as a tool for rural development, and training of specific
client groups (disabilities, ethnic minorities, women, young and
older people). We will add themes where a partner has a specific
skill and experience.
•
The project conferences will be held in June 2008 and March 2009
with up to 3 delegates per partner attending. They will be used
to develop the network / project tools and raise awareness of
EES.
•
The project will arrange a programme of four or five study visits
will develop practical exchange of experience, support/advice
and further foster co-operation.
•
The project will develop a website, which will provide a mechanism
for sharing information internally and externally. It will include
case studies and advice on the effective use of European funding.
Organisations will have the opportunity to post questions / request
to join the network. Each partner will have space within the website
to promote their activities.
•
The project will produce "How to Guides" will be written
in plain English, enabling someone new or experienced in the field
to understand how to maximise benefits. They will cover a variety
of topics, including the role of EES / NRP, influencing decisions,
bid writing, maximise collaboration /partnerships, improving skills,
project management /delivery and building self-confidence of beneficiaries.
