Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST)

The Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) coordinates Malta’s participation in the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), which is the European Union’s main instrument for funding research and technology. MCST has also set up a network of National Contact Points (NCPs) to cover all areas of FP7. NCPs are responsible for the dissemination of information on FP7 as well as assisting all entities and organizations interested in submitting proposals and those already involved in FP7 projects.

The Researcher's Mobility Centre

The Researcher's Mobility Centre offers researchers, who are undertaking research positions either in Malta or in a new country, comprehensive and up-to-date information and assistance in all matters relating to their professional and daily lives. It is run and maintained by Fondazzjoni Temi Zammit and can be contacted via email on rmc@ftz.org.mt

Ideal-IST

Ideal-IST is a project through which a project idea can be distributed to a network of over 55,000 international contacts that provides appropriate project partners within weeks, or even days with a success rate of almost 100%.

MIEMA

MIEMA is the first Energy Agency for Malta. MIEMA aims to be a protagonist of the European effort towards a more intelligent use of Energy resources; promoting awareness initiatives and contributing to define incisive and targeted proposals and policies of intervention, in order to optimize the use of conventional energy resources and to develop renewable sources.

IST World

The IST World project offers information about experts, research groups, centers and companies involved in creating the technologies for the growing information society through an online portal. The focus of the service is on the expertise and experience of relevant players in European countries.

IOI-MOC

The Malta Operational Centre aims to develop and implement research and studies related to the sea, promote education, training and public awareness as well as provide services mainly in physical oceanography targeting the sustainable use of ocean space and resources, their management and regulation as well as the promotion and conservation of the marine environment. IOI-MOC seeks to sustain the interaction between local institutions that are active in marine affairs, and promote an inter-sectorial approach at national level. Special attention is dedicated to strengthen linkages to University departments in favour of collaborative multidisciplinary research and supporting courses in oceanography

Tissue and Cell Culture Lab of the University of Malta

The Tissue and Cell Culture Lab of the University of Malta will be exhibiting is different flasks of cells for the viewing public to have a look at.

Communication Therapy Division - IHC

The Communication Therapy Division within the Institute of Health Care of the University of Malta is responsible for the education and training of speech-language pathologists who would be involved in the prevention, assessment, intervention and management of disorders of human communication. It has established and maintained high professional training standards and has links with the wider European/International sphere. It is also responsible for the planning and conduction of scientific research related to the local communication disordered population.
